New York Jets throw a touchdown to a wide receiver for first time in 270 pass attempts

Stephen Hill's touchdown for the Jets on Sunday shouldn't have been that big of a deal.
His 51-yard score against Buffalo was a nice play, for sure, but nothing NFL Films will be playing years from now. But, this is the Jets, and it was a bit of a milestone.
That was the first touchdown by a wide receiver in 270 passing attempts for the team. That's unfathomable. But true.
The last touchdown catch by a receiver for the Jets before Sunday was Chaz Schilens against St. Louis in New York's 10th game last year.
Hill also had the first 100-yard game for a Jets receiver in 12 games, another stat that's pretty hard to believe.

Hopefully for the Jets, the Geno Smith era at quarterback ends up being a little more receiver-friendly. If nothing else, it shouldn't be another 270 passing attempts between a receiver catching a touchdown anymore, one would hope.
