The movie will feature Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa, and follow him as he trains the grandson of his former enemy turned best friend, Apollo Creed.
Of course, Carl Weathers can’t reprise his role as Apollo, as fans know Apollo was killed in “Rocky 4” at the hands of Russian boxing star Ivan Drago.
However, best friend Rocky will be there to support Apollo’s grandson as he embarks on his boxing career.
There haven’t been many details on the film yet. However, actor Michael B. Jordan will play the main character in the “Rocky” spin-off movie. Jordan told TMZ on Sept. 16 that was excited about being cast in the film.
“Rocky” fans are so delighted the franchise continues to live on, and create even more fans from the younger generations. Of course, movie buffs are excited about the film’s possibilities, and are hopeful that it will live up to the hype.
