Google Glass now offers public transport directions, allowing users to cue up directions and see exactly what trains or buses they need to use to get from A to B.
The new function, which works in conjunction with Android devices, allows users to see how long each given route will take and exactly where to go. The screens are identical in design to the transit options served up in the Big G’s desktop and mobile maps.
The upgrade is part of Google’s monthly boost to its smart glasses, which have been out in the wild since the start of the summer. Other new features include the ability to tap and select links within notifications.
There is now word on when Google Glass will become commercially available. Rumours have suggested it’ll hit shelves at some point in 2014.
With the smart watch revolution underway, the question is whether the specs will be able to compete with the likes of Samsung’s Galaxy Gear and Apple’s much-hyped iWatch.
