How Mother Nature Inspired Vanessa Hudgens’s New ‘Do
Vanessa Hudgens (Splash News)Vanessa Hudgens has really fallen for fall.
The "Machete Kills" actress embraced the change of seasons in a big way, dyeing her long brunette strands in autumnal hues. Her natural chestnut brown color now flows into an auburn shade followed by yellow (yes, yellow!) on her tips.
The 24-year-old had her long locks on display when she hosted ULTA Beauty's Donate With a Kiss event supporting breast cancer research in Manhattan on Thursday, where omg! asked her about the inspiration behind her tricolor tresses, which were even more vibrant in person.
"It's fall and I love the autumn palette, so I thought I would wear it on my head," Hudgens said with a smile.
Despite the new array of colors she has to coordinate with while getting ready for the red carpet, she insisted that her multicolored mane — especially the bold yellow on the bottom — hasn't been an issue when it comes to picking out outfits.
"Not at all. This is so up my alley," she said, giving her hair a toss. "This is what my wardrobe looks like. You add some denim in there, some black velvet," which she was wearing, "and I'm happy. It's easy. It works."
Besides, she said, "it's just hair. So why not have fun with it, right?"
Fun was the theme of the night for the actress, who worked the crowd at the event, which was held on the NoMad Hotel rooftop with the bright lights of the city as a beautiful backdrop. Hudgens stopped by the Kiss Kart, which will travel across the country to collect $1 donations in exchange for "kisses," and perfected her pucker. She also sampled the treats, including cupcakes and cotton candy.
And perhaps she also looked around for her next hair-color inspiration. Why not have fun with it, right?
